hey guys, i have myself a dilemma. i was swapping the cobra rims off and putting on the winter set, and when i got to the rears, the wheel came off fine, but the damn wheel spacers wonder come off. i've tried alot, but it's been a bitch. anyone else had this happen? any ideas?

help me out please, the only other option i got, is to change the rotors, and i don't feel like installing my nice and shinny Brembos on, for the damn winter. thanks

I've had this happen with old wheels.

Bang on it HARD at different points with a rubber mallet. It will come off.

i coated my hub and rotor with anti-sieze before i installed the spacers so hopefully i wont have this problem. why not just run the spacers with ur stock rims?

i wish i used anti seize, but the studs are too long with the spacers for regular rims. they worked great the my cobra r's, but not with my stock cobras or my snow rims and tires. amnit: i really don't want(and can't ) drive with the R's in the snow. would heating them up help?????

what do you mean the studs are too long, is this a spacer with studs in it or a slide on "washer" type. heating one of the metals will help get it off
so will a BFH

the studs and spacers nuts, stick out, and are not flush with the spacer itself. so when i put the rims on, the inner studs bang on the wheel, so it won't go on crapola i might try to heat up the rotor, but it's 15degrees outside right now, so i think i'll wait til tomorrow maybe. here's a pic of the spacers.(pic was in the summer, notice no Snow or Ice on the ground!)

ooh very clean. so you got the nuts off but not the wheel? put the cobra wheel back on and bolt it on, then kick it and it should provide the leverage to get it off. leave the inner nuts off, or even loose. good luck
