Spark plug gap question.

I just checked my spark plug gap on my 94 cobra i just bought and it was at .030, so i put it at .050, Will there be a difference in anything that i will notice. What info can anyone give me on that? Thanks

Assuming the car is N/A, it should run a little better. Nothing out of the ordinary...

if your coil has enough voltage, you'll get a bigger spark and that should improve combustion. i doubt you'll notice a difference though.

if your coil is questionable, the spark won't be able to jump the gap and you'll get misfires. it should be fine though.
