Spark plug wires

How hard is it to change out the stock wires and put in Ford racing wires???
Any pitfalls to look out for?? Thanks

Fairly easy.Just make sure you put a little silicon in the boot when you put the new wires on.Doing them one at a time is a pretty good idea too.

coil on plug ignition came into play here... (plug wires non existant in the 99+gt's)

Which makes it really easy!

Besides, FRPP wires are crap!

MSD must package their defects as FRPP. I've had both and the FRPP are pure crap.

I have had 3 sets between 2 cars and a truck and i have never had a single issue with them

I've had two sets and both had issues after about a year. The plastic connectors on the coil side would break without anyone even touching them. They were hard to connect (they never seemed to "click" into place) and no matter how hard I tried to be gentle, removing them would separate the connector from the wire on the plug side. Same thing happened to two of my buddies here in Vegas. Maybe it's just the intense heat here that eats away at them. I have problems with batteries too. (Optima fixed that)

And I never abused them as you can see in this picture...



I've never had a problem with my MSDs and I mess with them every so often.

no need for your car. You don't have any. There's also no need for an ignition booster.

i liked the msd wires better than the stock stuff when i used it on my 99v6 (non COPI).

if anything switch your plugs to an ngk copper or denso iridium plugs

Well then......if FRPP and MSD wires have issues then whats left????

MSD wires don't have issues. And read the replies... your '04 does not have spark plug wires.

Just open your hood and look. Does it look hard or easy?
PS You can look at some taylor wires they make red 10mm wires that look bad ass!http://www.brothersperformance.com/shop/mustang/tay79257.html
