O.K. guys just went out and started the car and opened up the hood and down where the boots go on the plugs you can see it sparking and you can also see it going down thru some of the wires also. Is this normal? I just bought these plug wires 2 months ago. They are lucky if they have 500 miles on them. They are ford motorsport wires.

No this is not normal. Sounds like you have cross firing and faulty insulators. Pick yourself up some MSD wires or live wire or even holley ones. Sounds like you got a bad batch there.

Is it every wire? What kind of plugs are you running? You can check the resistance of each wire. Or swapping out different plugs to troubleshoot.

I like both guys' ideas. There's either a weak insulation issue or a huge resistance issue (massive plug gap or something causing spark to try and find a new path of least resistance).

Good luck.

You shouldn't have them laying across eachother. Try to organize them better with some spark plug wire holders.
