How many years of good performance can one expect from a set of quality wires?

As long as the wires don't touch or rub through, they should be fine forever. I still have the stock 1996 Cobra wires on my Cobra, no problems.

I just took off my 1992 wires from my 91 notch...(I switched motors) and they had the original date on them. I actually just sold them on ebay...so they are going on another guys 5.0L!!!

I run the FMS ones also haven't had a problem with them yet. Next time I plan on forking out the cash for livewires though.

Burning a boot sounds like a more of a positioning issue, than a plug wire problem.

Accel 8.8 300+ wires FTW. They last forever and work great.
