Went out to fire up the car a little while ago. It had been 4 weeks since i'd rode her and the battery was dead. After jump starting I took her for a cruize around town. On the way home I noticed the spedometer and tripmeter wasn't working. All the other gauges seem to be working fine. Does anyone know what could cause this? I thought the hot wire may have pulled free from my speedcal but I checked it and it appeared to be hooked up fine. Could my speedcal have went out? Could it be related to my battery dieing?

Thanks,

Why would your battery die after 4 weeks?

My speedcal did that once too when I had the batt disconnected over the winter. I disconnected the pos feed to the speedcal and plugged it back in and it worked. Beats me, but try it.

When I went to start it I discovered I had left the keys in it. I guess I must not have turned it all the way to the off postition.

Are you talking about the red wire? Just unplugg it from where I tapped into my powersource and replug it?

yup, and if that doesnt work just the fuses.

1 step in checking the electriconics is inspecting the connections
