I am hopefully getting an 87' GT fairly soon, I have a 99' GT and am planning on building the 87' for the track (drag racing). I have decided that going carbed is the best option for me (yes I have someone who will be with me to tune the carb/teach me to)

My question is other than the obvious carb, wiring, and manifold what else will I need to convert my GT to carb??

you are going to have to deal with the fuel situation. Personally I pulled all the fuel injected fuel lines out and the fuel pump out of the tank. Ran all new fuel lines installed a pickup in the tank and mounted a electric fuel pump for carbs close to the tank. actually its mounted on the spare tire sheetmetal. Then I installed an nice fuel pressue regulator on the line. oh yah don't forget some fuel filters then hooked it up to my carb. Wire the fuel pump up to ignition on power.

Well the plan was for a switch panel for the ignition, fuel pump, N2O, starter, master power.... And a fuel cell was also on my list so pick-up for the tank and fuel pump where already planned, but great advice anyhow!!
