speed sensor question..

aight..i posted on here the other day about my speedometer not working an whatnot..i just went to a local partstore and my car is throwin a speed sensor code..could this have anything to do w/ my speed cal? and if so can it be solved by dissconnecting the battery and resetting the comptuer?
