ever since i got my stang, the speedo has been 5-10 mph higher than i was actually going.. so today i was screwing with my tuner, and just for kicks i set the gear ratio to 3:73 and boom, the speedo was dead on with my gps, (which is accurate, many a radar have told me that) lol

does this mean the previous owner installed 3:73's?

Sounds right. You could jack up the car and count the drive revolutions as you turn the tires. If you do have 3.73's you will notice that as you turn the tires one revolution your drive shift should turn approximately 3.73 times. If that's the case, your car has more miles on it than the odometer is showing. Pearl02.

Yeah. You should have a fraction of the mileage since the gears were put in. I will never understand why people don't correct it when they have gears installed.
