How hard are springs to install on a mustang. I have a focus now but I hoping to have my stang soon. Any suggestions or tricks I need to know?

Pretty easy IMO and many others. You don't need a spring compressor either, get a manual for your model year 96-98 or 99-04 and check it out

...I can take it. I think.

I'm working on mine now. I'm doing struts/shocks too. I got the drivers side front doen in about 45 minutes. Much of that time was removing the strut nut since it wants to spin the whole shaft but if you are only doing springs it';s pretty easy. See here...]

I've done shocks/struts numerous times on my car (and a few friends), after recently switching to MM coilovers I would say save your cash and do it right the first time...

But aside from that...

The install isn't realy all that bad, the rear is quite easy on live axle cars (GT, Bullitt, Mach 1). The front can be a bit of an ass. Removing the tie rods from the control arm is an easier (easier, not easy) way of doing the install than using a spring compressor. My spring compressor (payed around 80 bucks for one that was "for air tools") died after about ten installs, or twenty springs. The threads on the rod just stripped, leaving me with some hook thingies and a big metal stick. I also had to cut off about 4 inches of the threaded bolt to get it to fit between the control arm and the upper spring perch, there isn't much clearance.

Basically, take your time, make sure you know what everything is on your car, and follow whatever guide you decide to use step by step until you know what your doing.

....and buy coilovers....
