Sputter??

Whenever my car gets warm the car sputters when starting off from a stop in 1st gear doesn't happen in any other gears. It usually only happens if i've been driving it for atleast an hour. Any ideas???

Check the IAC valve. My 00 GT would do the same thing when i put it in gear and started to accelerate. The RPMs would drop and it felt like it was about to stall. I took it to Ford and they replaced the IAC valve and it corrected the problem, havent had trouble w/ the car sputtereing since.

Just a thought, you might try cleaning your maf sensor with some contact cleaner or rubbing alcohol. If you do this use extreme care, its a very fragile part.

I'm 99% sure that its not the IAC valve, I just replaced that a few months ago also the RPMs don't drop when it sputters. I'll try cleaning the MAF sensor though see if that helps.
