that is why i put a title on the post...so people who have insight could give it...i never said you would gain hp with ss inserts
and besides, people talk about looks on this forum all the time...you are the only one that seems to care. If you don't like stangnet, then stop lookin at the threads!

Here is the item number for one of fire and ice's auctions for the stainless letters Item number: 7910929417 it has like a day left if it ends click on other auction by the seller they should have more. $50 bucks shipped is alot better than $80

Except more people who have SS inserts read this forum than people TOTAL read that forum.


I don't see what the big deal is. This is tech enough for me. If you really want to get picky all the wheel posts and other appearance mod posts should go over there as well. There is gonna be a gray area for these kinds of posts.

This is tech because you have to have some sort of technical knowledge to take off the sticky back and install it straight

It's technical because he asked about the definition of 30 guage vs. 20 guage...something I was wondering myself. I was just about to order some 16 guage ss inserts from fordpower.net. But after this discussion about raised letters, I might hold off. I think flush letters would look nicer.

i have 30 gauge and you really can't see the raised letters at all unless you are right up against the bumper. they look really nice on the car and make a huge diff
