After four months of overhaul I finally started my car today. It started fine until the power steering pump pulley came off. The car seemed to idle decent with a little surge now and then.( I only had it on for about 2-3 minutes) I removed the power steering pump pulley and started the car with only the supercharger belt, it started fine then died and I had to press the gas pedal and leave it pressed for it to start but now the car has trouble ideling. Could it be becouse no accesory belt is installed and the alternator is not working? Could it be that the computer is trying to adjust to the new set up? Brief discription: Trick Flow heads, Trick flow stage 1 cam, 306 low compression pistons, 1.72 rockers, Vortech S- trim, 30 pound inj. with fmu. Tommorow I am going to get a new pulley or pump once I determine what went bad. But any information would be appreciated so I can sleep tonight.
