HELP FOR A NEW MEMBER!?!? MY '65 289 has been in the garage all winter. It stated once (briefly) then did and when I try to start- just a click. Bought a new battery since it was 6 yrs old. I decided to rewire entire car as I was having some electrical issues so I installed the Painless Performance Wiring harness for the 65. SAME PROBLEM.. starts once, runs 2-3 seconds, dies, then just a click. I took the alternator to be tested-ok. starter is 2 yrs old. What's up with this car.??

I'm not positive but my guess would be to try the voltage regulator on the front radiator support.
