What are your guys' opinions? I really want a new short-shifter, as the stock one is pretty crappy. Just looking for some input.

I bought my Tri-Ax BECAUSE of the Pro 5oh. The Pro was too "notchy" for me and I felt like had to fight to get into gear sometimes.

I've talked to others that swear by them and complain about the Steeda though. lol

For me... Tri-ax, all the way.

Is everyone saying MGW just because it has 360* rotation, or also because it's the superior shifter?

BOTH!

the shifter is superior in every way in my opinion. I tried out a tri-axe and it was nothing compaired to the mgw. it has shorter smoother shifts and strong centering springs so you dont miss 3rd. and if you'd like you can get an even shorter handle for shorter throws. I have only run into 2 people who like the tri-axe over the mgw.

go to your local track and see if you can find some stangers that have both and ask to shift thier car it will help you decide.

i could care less about the 360* rotation, i set it once and forgot it. i bought the shifter because it's pretty much the best out there

i've felt both the Tri-Ax and the Pro5.0 shifter and MUCH prefer the MGW. but of the choices i'd go with the Pro5.0 with a different handle

At least it's more erect and not floppy anymore.

The Steeda Tri-Ax is a good shifter. I would pick that over the Pro 5.0 if I had a stick Although I been hearing MGW is the best like all the above say. The Steeda Tri-Ax will work just fine. Good Luck

I've had 2 pro50 shifters, 1 steeda tri ax , and an MGW shifter and they are all good shifters but I would go with MGW 1st then Pro50 and Then tri ax. They are all about the same in price but the MGW is a better quality in my opinion.

I heard that the Pro "clicks" when shifting into gear and doesn't have the rubbery feel of the stock shifter. Do the Tri-Ax and MGW do this, too? I don't mind noise when shifting gears.

My tri-ax feels like I am mixing coal, but the throws are short and when the tranny gets hot, it is easier to shift.

Yes the pro and the mgw click into gear and you can tell your in gear. I like it alot better than the rubbery feeling of the stock shifter.

There is nothing rubbery feeling about the MGW shifter. It has a very solid feeling; i love mine! It doesnt "click" into gear like the cars on the fast and the furious...

Pro 5.0

But I really can't compare to the rest becasue I never tried them. The Pro 5.0 has proven itself for years. It has a solid feel to it and it has adjsutable stops.

But I think whatever one you get, it will be better than stock and you'll be happy.
