I have the FR500 steering wheel. It's not any smaller just a fatter grip. Any other wheel and you'll have to delete your air bag. Do you really want to do that?

do you mean that you were able to keep your airbag with the fr500?

edit: nevermind you can... but why not just go to mustangpartsspecialties.com or something where you could just get the OE leather wrapped for $75, of course it's used...

well,
its not that I want to delete my airbag, but the wheel is so darn big. I think if i replace it though, you will be able to see the square steering column from behind it and that would be ugly. I think my racing seats and 4point harnesses should be able to keep me off the steering wheel and out of the windshield what do you think. My wife thinks Im nutz to even think of taking the airbag out.

At least i wouldnt, especially if you have somebody else who drives the car (such as your wife).

My wife.......drive a stick........

That would be tha day.

I dont let anyone drive my car, with a few exceptions of those who know how to drive a car with such stamina

However I do see where you and my wife are coming from.

My friend installed a momo wheel and hub from Maximum Motorsports. It works great, but it does get rid of your airbag and horn.

I also have the fr500 and love it. Fatter grip. Soft too. I also have black and grey interior and it doesn't look too bad. Actually,,, I've switch everything that is grey out for black with the exception of the dash. which is still black and grey. I'll dye it one of these days.
