stock valve covers

ok so i have my 50 tore down i dont like putting dirty parts on so i cleaned the intake and down im doing the valve covers. is it possible to polish them to look like chrome?????

Of course it is, but you are probably better off having them powdercoated. Great choice of colors and even chrome-like finishes. Look into it, I'm sure you will find something that appeals to you.

most all metals can be polished (with enough work)but when polishing then you have to keep it that way. Don't just clear them to keep polished metal looking good because regular rattle can clear turns yellow under heat but some companys do make a clear that will hold up

polishing can be hard i have done the ho valve cover cobra intake stock HO intake Explorer it takes lot of time to do i start with 180 grit paper take out all the sractches then i move to 220 to 320 wet sand to 400 then 800 1000 1500 2000 wet sanding after all them steps if taking a short cut it will show sractches when you start to polish even sand blasting can be a good start but have to clear every well.my next try s doing a eaton m90 blower after polishing parts you do have to keep it clean it will lose it shine over time
