Hello,

I was looking at some Stangs yesterday and Noticed that each car has a strap with a snap in the sides of the seats. Does anyone know what these are for?

Thanks

I noticed those to when I saw a V6 on the lot. The salesman I was talking to had no idea what they were for.

It holds the seat belts to the bottom side of the seats.

Thanks to Brad Barnett at Mustang Source for the picture.

Took me a while to figure it out also. It does help make the reach for the belts a little shorter!

Those straps actually don't work very well.

The other problem is that the straps keeps on popping out of the magnet holder.

All in all, a fairly worthless feature.

They should have made straps or holders higher up like they used to - but that can also be annoying for people wanting to get into rear seat.

HEY!
How come in the picture it shows the belts are also held up near the top of the seat...mine doesn't. Is that a picture from an older mustang?

Jay
PS. I found out about the strap on the boards too...guess I actually need to read the owners manual....
