Well you can buy a stroker kit from DSS that will give you 302ci (5.0L). Or you could get a kit from Coast High Performance, that will give you 310ci (5.1L).

Forgive my dumbassness, I'm somewhat familiar with the stroker kit concept, and what not...

What stroker kits are available for the 4.6 mod engine? I know 331, 347, etc are available tfor the 5.0L motor.

All right, so let me explain this in things I can understand.

Billy walks into a ford dealership and purchases a brand spankin new '04 cobra or GT. Billy wants to stroke his motor, so by buying a Stroker KIT from DSS or what not.. he can increase the amount of displacement he has.

What's the biggest kit one can get for the 4.6L v8 motor? or better yet, what sizes do stroker kits come in.

The modular engines don't need any more stroke, the narrow bore is what's killing us. On a 4V stroking becomes an option because of how much their heads flow, but the narrow bore on the 2V shrouds the valves and kills the flow.

The best way to increase the displacement on a modular engine is with a big bore setup. The catch is that you need an aluminum block (Mach 1/pre-03 Cobra) because what the engine builders do is install new cylinder sleeves for the bigger bore.

There was a project on the corral showing a big bore 2V, with minor head and cam work, and the stock lower intake. Still did over 300RWHP, leaving a lot left on the table in terms more aggressive cams, intake, and head porting.

I know there's a million and half things you can do with the actual 302 5.0L block, I'm just unfamiliar with the 4.6L

What exactly can I do to the 4.6L?

Iron blocks: stroke to about 302"

Aluminum blocks: stroke or bore to about 302", or stroke and bore to about 324"
