Do the rods or counterweights on stroker Fords (like my soon to be assembled 393) ever hit the camshaft lobes? I hear they do sometimes on Chebbies.

Also, be careful if you buy a kit from Coast. They sent the wrong pistons the first time, then they had the wrong size rods. When I finally got to the assembly stage at the machine shop, they sent the wrong main bearings and the crankshaft counterweights hit the pistons. I had the have a lot of material ground off the crank, I had to balance two sets of rods, balance the crank twice, wait weeks while swapping parts in the mail, and flat out just buy new bearings.

You would think that when you buy a kit that is engineered to go together, you would only have to machine the block. Thank god my machinist took pity on me. He has had the motor since early July!

Anyway, anybody ever hear of anything in the rotating assembly hitting the cam?

I've seen that problem before with Chevys. My friend's stroked 400 had that problem.

Fortunately I haven't seen that with a Ford before. You definitely won't see that with a 393 stroked Ford. Things could get close with the 427 stroker, but haven't heard of anyone having that problem.
