Ok I was out washing my car yesterday and I had my trunk open to take out all my cleaning supplies, then I went around and got some stuff out of the front so I could vacumm the interior, and when I go back around and close my trunk the right side (passenger side) sets about 1/8 of an inch lower than the rear quarter panel, and also on the passenger side the trunk doesn't set even with the tail light bezel, it also sets about a 1/8 of an inch angled inside of the bezel.

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and could tell me if it's the shock or one of the brackets. It's a small but EXTREMELY annoying problem, everytime I look at that gap it seems to get more noticeable.

Also the difference is ONLY on the passenger side and it's weird because I am always careful to shut the trunk in the middle, never putting more pressure on one side, and I'm always gentle with it, but this problem happened all of the sudden.

Looks like the tail light bezel is not sitting flush try to loosen the bezel than evenly tighten it down. Or maybe the trunk seal has to be adjusted some time when I don't open my trunk for a while then I do it lifts the seal with it.

I was thinking it might be the gasket too...because I took a yard stick and the bezels seem to be even with each other, best I can tell, and the trunk is uneven in 2 places.
