As the seller states, it may have been modified to "his style" but points are usually deducted for tastlessness:

Granted this is just another plebian S281 so the mods may not be that great a loss to the overall Saleen world, but as the owner of 98-0136 it pains me to see my prior year sister car horribly disfigured in such a manner.

That car looks like a Pep Boys magnet!

I sent the guy a note telling him congratulations on destroying what once was a nice car.

His response was "Thank you"

Yea,

I'm with Bobby.

Thanks for posting it Cobra. It saves me the time for looking for a nice specimen like that I can purchase. She's a beauty.

My wife says I should not use the word "retarded" So Tim, thanks for using it for me.

I like that he put s351 badges on it, and his email is S281sa@comcast.net .
And yet another guy that says his car is mint, with no engine pics.
I think i know why, my thoughts are mac intake and white colored piping everywhere.

Someone send him an email that say "can i see some pics of the engine, so i know if you screwed that up as bad as you did the rest of the car".

i cannot believe that guy did that to a Saleen. why buy a Saleen if your going to change/add body pieces? that is some serious BS!! this car is located about 2 hours from me. i think its worth the 2 hr drive to go look at it & make fun of him for what he did & i would have fun doing it! the "Saleen police" will hopefully get him.

A friend of mine to whom I also sent this link mentioned the S351 badges, too.

Honestly I didn't even notice them because I was too traumatized by the overall mish mash of components; ABC Composites hood & side skirts, replica 2000 Cobra 'R' front valence, replica '99-'04 Saleen rear valence, replica Saleen SR/FIA wing, replica '99-'04 Saleen wheels.

YEESH!!!

I've now been BLINDED FOR LIFE! I agree, the SALEEN logo on the doors must be for the blind to see!

Believe it or not someone actually placed a bid @ the seller's starting bid of $15K. Obviously this someone has the same "style" as the seller.

However, the reserve hasn't been met. I can only imagine what the seller believes it to be worth.

Now if it just had those super snazzy Lambo doors who knows what it might bring...
