Hi, i have a 97 gt vert. with the mach system, i would love to get more bass out of the car, soo i have been looking into some subs, i have and aftermarket HU, and was wondering what type should i use. i was kinda thinking of getting 1 to 2 kicker l7 10" would those work, or should i go and buy the mach 1000 system upgrade, and have the 10" subs that will fit without a problem in my trunk??

The Mach 1000 subs enclosures fit nice on the sides. Although, I have found that one 10 inch sub is enough for my bass needs. Just remember the bass will sound different when the top is down as oppossed to the top being up.

Ive seen the Mach systems on ebay from 250 to 500 bones. There has been a few times when someone was just selling the subs. I dare not think how much Ford wants for it. Probably the same price as having a shop make custom enclosures. I am using a MTX Thunderform box with good luck in my vert. Other people have used JL Stealth's with good results too.

The Kicker L7's are incredible speakers, one may work even but the only downside is the frequency a 10'' produces. If you're just looking for something to create some low's and not looking for a crazy thump this would work. Also I would check out JL Audio's W7 sub. They're suppose to sound like two, my friend had one 12'' and jeezzz
