looking at an 05 gt with a brenspeed stroker and 2.3 whipple

car is on just a base tune and can only run about 10psi, haven't test driven t yet. but it had a slight knock in the supercharger. went with the speed of the rpm's, if you revved up the knock went faster, etc.
did a google search and didn't come up with many thngs that sounded smlar (sorry my "i" key s gonig out)

guy told me it was the rotors in the sc and that it's supposed to sound lke that. from my google search "knocks" mean bearings/rotors going bad in the sc and wll need a rebuild. this is my first time looking into s/c so I'm not too famlar wth them.

found ths on youtube and t's about as close as i could find. the knock wasnt as loud as this and ddnt sound as much like metal on metal

If we're listening to a supercharger knock why are taking a video underneath the car?

I thought the same thing before I reread the thread... the video he posted is not the actual noise just the closest thing he could find on YouTube.

Personally if the blower is making remotely anything close to that is stand clear

thanks rick, wasn't my video.

it's more of a tick. and in whipples manuel it says that is normal "until about 400-500 rpm above idle" he revved it up to about 2k and it sounded like it kept ticking.

so off to do some more research.. any more replies are welcome

I had a tick / noise coming out of my old Bonneville ssei (eaton supercharger?), that manifested itself one day. Well, I ended up needing a new one.
