I can get the Superchips Programmer for my car tomorrow. I didn't even know it was available yet because I hadn't heard anyone say anything about it on here. Has anyone bought this or have any experience with it? I can get it for 295 through our store but I didn't know if it would be worth it since it won't come with a custom CAI tune and I want to get a CAI also.

The SCT Xcal and Xcal 2 do not come with tunes preloaded unless you by them as a package deal from the same supplier for your intended CAI. Which CAI are you looking to buy. Regardless, most of the vendors have tunes avialable for their specific CAI kits.

So the Superchips and SCT are the same thing? I thought they might be different companies.

Superchips and SCT are two seperate companies. If you buy a Superchips tuner, you will get canned tunes made by Superchips themselves, and you won't be too happy when you need to try to get retunes when you add parts. If you buy an SCT Xcal2, it will come with tunes made by the dealer you buy them from. Some will load up SCTs in house made tunes, and some dealers, like myself, have developed our own tunes in house on our dynos.

Seems I got a litle confused. Sorry for mucking it up a bit. I realized that you were speaking of the plug in module but when you mentione dthe $295.00 I assumed it was a great deal on an SCT hand held tuner. I never thought that the others ran as high as that. For the money plus a little more, the SCT is such a better deal in the long run. As you add bolt-ons you can modify the tune or have it custom tuned on a dyno.
