Hey guys... what do you suggestion for suspension for my 02 GT? I'm starting to get a little scared when I'm only doing 80 and the car is all over the road... what do you guys suggest?

lots of options... best start is adding full length subframe connectors.... i suggest maximum motorsports..... see where that leaves you... if you still ahve issues, then get their bilstine/hypercoil coilovers. if you STILL have issues, then its time for a torque arm bar, pan hard bar, and road race lower control arms. that will fix any handeling issue.

Hotchkis TVS -- simple bolt on kit that is very complete. I love the kit on mine and the stance is killer. If handling is what you want, then this kit is your solution. www.hotchkis.net

I bought the Roush Stage 3 system. I absolutely love it. Tight, firm, no body roll and incredible ride.

If your doing just 80 and your cars all over the road something is wrong somewhere.

Ive run quite a bit faster than that on the freeway a few times and my car felt very solid.

But to answer your question…
A good cheap suspension upgrade is the Bullitt suspension. Includes better springs, shocks/struts and anti-roll bars all for about $400.

What about G-trac suspension by steeda or a rear sway bar by steeda?

I bought the Eibach Pro-system plus (lowering springs, shocks, struts, and front and rear swaybars). It will drop the car about an inch and a half but the kit is supposed to improve handling greatly. I am getting mine on sometime this week. Some people just go springs and get better handling results but I figure if you are going to do it, you might as well do it right.
Subframe connectors might be in my future as well. I want to see how this kit works first.

This is a really good article talking about the Pro-system plus. Give her a read.

My .02 would be to recommend starting with some MM full-length subframes, some H&R Super Sports, some 4 bolt C/C's, and then get a shock and strut combo, my vote is for the Bilsteins. Good Luck with your modding.
