Silverstars don't really make lights brighter. They just make them whiter. If you're looking for bright, don't waste your money

To the best of my knowledge, HID's are the only thing that will brighten.

Think of it like this, the bulb doesn't change any part of the electrical output of the car. HID's increase the electrical output so there is an increase in brightness.

Sylvania Silverstars are brighter and whiter and are absolutely not a waste of money.

I wish Sylvania would get some fog bulbs that don't burn out after 30 days of use.....

They have improved their manufacturing process and you need to wear latex gloves when installing the bulbs.

(hijack)
I have never installed them--just going off of what others have stated on here. I have the headlamp bulbs and they've been fine for about 6 months--but the again, I rarely ever drive at night (parent of young child, so I'm a homebody).

I might try the fogs, but I have just heard so many people say they don't have good luck with 'em.

I've had my silverstars for a year and a half. They are definitely brighter or whiter or more intense or whatever...point is, they make it easier to see in the dark. When I got mine, they didn't have a fog light.

According to their site, here are the part#'s:
Headlight: 9007ST
Foglight: 9145ST

Does anyone EVER read their owner's manual? The part number for headlights and fogs is in there people!

You should not operate a complex machine like a Mustang without reading the owner's manual from cover to cover...

Are you kidding? That stuff is bathroom reading material. You keep a copy of it in there and read it whenever you sit down! Wait, you only have one manual for your car?

HID bulbs don't increase electrical output. Rather, they increase the light output for the same (or less) amount of power drawn from your electrical system.
