Im thinking of going to a manual trans.anyone know if I can keep my existing computer? if I can will I have a constant CEL?

when I did a manual swap in my 93 mustang I was able to use the automatic computer with the manual trans.

Yes you just have a custom tune written with the auto tranny turned off.

Its only going from a manual to auto that you are forced to change computers.

Recommend that the donor transmission be from a 1998 or older model year. Expect problems if the donor comes with an OSS sensor used by 1999+ MY's.

Check out this tread for the differences between an VSS and OSS sensor.
