I have a 2000 Gt. Will the t-45 from past cobras and gt's work on my car?

One note, the T-45 up to '98 used a mechanical speed sensor, the 99+ used an electron ic speed sensor.

So does that mean it will not work? Does the old tranny's from cobras fit. DO they have a 6bolt flywheel or 8 bolt. Or does that even matter?
