I am going to sell the T5 out of my 1993 5.0 and was wondering what it is worth. It has 125k miles on it and worked perfect with the exception it would grind into 2nd about 10% of the time. What should I be asking for it?
I personally wouldn't pay any more than $200 for it. If it is slightly grinding now, there would be no sense in putting it into a new donor vehicle knowing it would probably have to be pulled in 10-20k miles or so. It would need the price of a rebuild on top of the purchase price to be worthwhile.
Just sold a 91 5.0 T-5 with 91,000 miles for $350 on craigslist.com. I cleaned the tranny up and included a clutch and the tranny/clutch mounting bolts.
