Damn that bites.

This is why I wanted to weld on cat covers when I get some. When they do their visual inspection it might help fool'em. Its not much but every bit counts .

Other than that, never ever ever let a cop pull up behind you. I don't even let'em check my plate anyway. On the street I'll pull in anywhere. Highway I pull off next exit.

I couldn't run away, I turned, then i had to take highway so I left turn signal, then, he flashed left too... then highway was starting so I couldnt do crap

That sucks man... at least he said it sounded good. You should have mentionned project "Canada tropical paradise", maybe he'd let you go with a warning. That's why I'm leaving all the crap on my car. Also some cops are smart enough to know that the car has 4 or 6 cats so sometimes a 2 cat H-pipe won't do either

Best bet would be to have your own H-pipe made with gutted cats, at least this is what I'd do once I'm ready to upgrade the 'stang. Trust me when I say lots of cops hate ricers and civics with body kits and lowered suspensions are being pulled over all the time

Oh and next time you get pulled over for what you'd suspect as sound, go waaay into the mud hehe

Weld some shields on there. Thats what I'll do this summer on my O/R H-Pipe. (shorty for longtubes). Thats one thing with my longtubes, they're not that loud UNLESS you step on it. So no rumble like the shorty headers, and less harassment because you basicly control the sound.

I got followed many times and never got stopped while I had the O/R H-pipe. They propably tell themselves that if that car is so quiet, its propably stock or something.

yeah thats the luck i have, with my hollowed cats if he looks it look stock, sound a bit crappy due to the echo in the chambers tho but heh. in my case it wasnt for power gain (well... mmm) all the cats where blocked badly if you remenber so ya i wanted more speed then a top speed of 130km/h

You know, I've been wondering how a well done hollowed out cat would perform? You know, where you put a pipe right through the cat.. that way there isn't any echo sound, and its straight through.

Zoma mmmm that would be an idea... specially since i have a Mig welder handy

the thing is i would need something to bend the tubing to fit the cats that are in L shape or just weld in one of those flex-tube.... mmmm

Flex tube + the heat covers off a cat = something that might fool the cops on a brief visual

Have I mentioned that I hate you guys who live far away with welders? None of my friends have one, I need one badly, and look at all the stuff I need to weld:

Transmission crossmember (the steel tubes to the actual crossmember).
New Floorpans.
Patching a few holes in the trunk.
Driveshaft loop
