Tach Lead

hey just wonderin if anyone knows what wire off the main block is the tach lead. im tryin to install a **** light in my 2000gt. i found the main block on the pass side firewall, i just dont know which wire the tach lead is....thanx

It is pin #(wire) 34.It will be solid red.Some times they are red with a green stripe.(occasionally white with a blue stripe).But is # 34!!!
Just went through this myself a few weeks ago.

The 99+ cars do not have a tach wire to tap into. You need a tach adatper unit such as the one sold by Pony Express Performance http://www.ponyexpressperformance.com/

yea, i got the tach adapter. i had a 2000 police interceptor crown vic i beefed up and threw a tach in, good thing i took it out!, im just wonderin which wire it is on the block under the hood. i cant see the numbers at all.

It will be at one of the 4 corners,just look for the colors i stated at one of these corners,and you will see #34 beside the wire where the wire goes into the box!!

And no problem!!
