When I removed the computer in my car last summer to put the turbo one,I found a taurus computer instead of my mustang computer.. do anybody know a place where I can get the diagram of all the ford computer? Or experience this before?

And do '92 mustang have the same computer than a '87 mustang?

that's really wierd. I've never heard of a 2.3l taurus. Maybe that's the model name for the computer? Just a thought, nothing to base that on...

87 ECU is a speed density system, any from 87-90 will work there.

92 is a MAF system, used between 91-93

Don't be alarmed. I have 2 LA3's and an LA2, all out of 87-88 TC's and they all say 'Taurus' on the gray tape. There was a thread awhile back on TF or here (can't remember), explaining why it said 'Taurus'. Something to do with the assembly line, easier identification, yada, yada, yada. The chances are 99% you've got the stock computer. The ID you need to be concerned with is the label on the connector. That identifys your computer.
