Just went to Fords site and looked at the specs. Looks like no V8s for the new Explorer. It gets a 3.5L 290hp @ 6500RPM, 255tq @4000 and a 2.0L EcoBoost I4 with 237hp @ 5500rpm and 250tq @ 1750-4000rpm. That I4 is impressive so my question is what would be the point of the 3.5L if it only makes 5lbs more tq? Also it now can only tow up to 5000lbs but gets 25mpg.
