my problem isnt that, i have arms that are longer than my legs, but my issue is when im in a comfortable spot to depress the clutch im all jamed into the dash and thats no fun

My brothers 2006 doesn't, but the newer ones might, I know they added heated seats and navigation, so why not adjustable pedals?

You at least have to give Chevy credit for making a car that actually has a nice stance from the factory and doesn't look like a jacked up truck.

I think all 3 of the newer muscle have their pros and cons. I too await the aftermarket for the Maro. My guess is that a intake, tune, and a few other minor mods will go a long way with them, just like on the 3v.

On a side note, I was behind a new Genesis coupe the other day.....it pulled away (wasn't in my Fox) and seemed to have some decent power, and wasn't half bad looking.

Seat of the pants feel responses always brings a smile to my face. Why? My Spec V felt faster than my 04Gt auto, but in reality it was NOT.

It feels like go-kart and gives decent response on the road, therefore they feel so much faster and is believed to be much faster.

Mustang is the HD of America, there are a lot better cars out there, but people want to be part of an image, and image you will acquire in a retro car, a real brand identity, not a (insert your commuter special here).

We also need to remember that while magazines are great for the younger generation, a lot of people really don't care about 1/4 numbers or 0-60 numbers; those are fanboi stats. The real deal is described down below.

1) When you turn the key, does it take you to a happy place

2) Does the design take you back to your youth

3) Does it have an American pedigree name?

4) Is it customizable, to make it your own painting?

5) Does seat time feel like you are hanging out with an old friend?


I would believe that for most of us, we can answer yes to the above questions and we will also find that some will answer yes for both the 'Maro and the Challenger; they probably aren't on this forum though.

You can make a fat pig go fast but it'll still be a fat pig. That said, I'd love to have a Camaro SS just for the looks alone. That thing is badass, has road presence (not that the Challenger SRT8 is lacking there), and will turn heads everywhere.
