So I think I surprised some Brit in his newly acquired 6.0 GTO today on the freeway.

As we rolled off the on-ramp side by side we remained civilized. At about 45mph though he drops the hammer and off he goes. Of course I did not want to be rude and could only offer to be courteous in that situation...so I floored it too.

He never got around me and then I held him off at about a semi-truck's length until I shut it down as we had approached felony speeds. The freeway was fairly free of traffic but I am not insane. Anything more than a quick slap; take it to the track.

It was fun and rare in the normally congested highways of SOCAL. Put a smile on my face.

Also, I say it was a "UK" Goat only because he had a United Kingdom flag sticker on the rear trunk. Maybe he's hoping it was a Monaro?

If you have all the mods that are in your sig, why in the world would you think he would hang with you?

Well, we weigh nearly the same, he has 400hp, I have 400hp, seemed like it would be a fun little run. If we went to the track, I would think it would be darn close. Remember I have an automatic and he has a 6-speed.

You should beat him at the track. I beat quite a few GTO's at the track when I was in the 13.2 range way back when. They are actually quite slow from a dig but once they get going they start reeling you in. If they are a good driver they might pull off a high 12 or low 13 stock.
