I didin't think your VAM would even support 300hp+ I heard to make 300 rwhp on a 2.3T you would have to do something like a MAF conversion or some kind of SDS etc?
I just feel that 250.00 bux is best used else where on stuff like a bottle or a ported head

Its do-able ,has been done, and quite a few guys running around with that setup. Usually (like you stated) at that level and above guys have tuner's (maf upgrades) or standalones (2-3 bar map).

If you don't dyno +9/+16, send it back with a copy of the dyno sheets and the dyno bill.
A dyno is the only way you're going to notice 9hp on a 2.3L Also if you only gain 3-5hp they're probaly going to consider that product working and zero refund for you
Look it was all supposed to be a joke because of a buddy of mine claiming he got like 20 HP TO THE WHEELS. I was making fun of him and he told me I'm the only person who doesn't think it will work.
I haven't seen anyone on here with one though. I KNOW Superchips makes one( I think...lol) And is claiming 9HP and 16 ft/lbs TQ at the flywheel. Anyone done any research or have any thoughts on this
I've been running my trucks with Superchips since '98. I know that's no comparison with our beloved 2.3's but I gotta say this about Superchips - they do what they claim.
You can expect a 10% increase in hp and torque (yes, I've dyno'ed both my trucks before and after). Most people will also report a 1-2mpg increase in fuel mileage (not enough to offset the increased price of premium fuel though). But the biggest benefit, and the original reason for me buying a Superchip, was in tidying up the automatic tranny's shifting.
I'm currently running Superchip's 'Flip-Chip' that allow me to switch between 87 and 92 Octane programs on my '01 5.4L Supercrew. With the chip (and a few other goodies) I've surprised more than a few import owners...
But I agree - don't bother putting it on a N/A 2.3L. The turbo'd version, however, is another story - I'd do that in a heartbeat and would have if I had only known about Superchips when I owned my '85 XR3ti.
