My mileage increased immediately. 2 to 3 around town and around 4 on the freeway, which is good because I had it tuned for 91 octane. Of course all bets are off when I start playing with the throttle.

The factory system on my '00 GT is a cool air system. Meaning it gets its air from outside of the engine compartment. What system did you install that immediately increased your car 2 to 3 around town and around 4 on the freeway?

I would guess that it was the NEW and CLEAN air filter that did more for him than anything, not the actual piping itself.

Your mpg should stay the same but if you keep testing the new cai then it will obviously go down.

thanks for all the replies i found out where my fuel mileage was going... when i removed my fuel filter it looked like old rusty water and little black flakes came out so that was the problem (i hope)

A CAI wont hurt fuel economy. As others have said, those spacers are a load of crap.
