Yes, I run one in my race rod. You will need to use a smaller pilot bearing in the engine block due to the tip being smaller on the input shaft. If you need the bearing number let me know.

you said you run the same type t-5? Does it differ in any other way? Also, will i need a diffrent rebuild kit or can i use the one they sell for the WC T-5. Any one else have any advice on this?

Pilot shaft on a 4cyl t-5 is 7 1/8" vs the V8 6 5/8" also, not just the diameter difference.
The SVO t5 also has a steeeep first gear, 4.something versus the v8 2.95 or 3.35. Can be nice in a car with a 2.73/3.08 rear gear, but I'm pretty sure it'll make first gear useless with numerically higher rear gears.
I happen to have a 85 SVO t5....and it will hold up behind a v8, but I don't recommend it, I noticed some interference marks on the pilot shaft and bearing after I replaced it with a FMS z tranny I lucked into out of a 92.
My understand is that the insides of the T-5 on the turbo is the same as other T-5's. The only difference is the tip of the input shaft which is smaller, therefore you need a smaller pilot bearing for the rear of the block. Mine fit up with no problems and the gearing has not been an issue at the track.

If the supply house does not have this brand they should have a cross reference chart. Put it in and add a dab of grease and you are ready.
