For about a week now ive had a ticking noise from the passenger side of the engine bay. It has gotten progressively worse. I tightened down all headerbolts and x-pipe bolts and the sound is still there. I looked closely at the exhaust side between the head and the block and there are no black marks from exhaust. The car does not burn or leak any oil so Im stuck. Any help is greatly appreciated guys. Im starting to get really worried about it.

That, or a sticky lifter. Is it so loud that you can hear it from inside the car while driving?

Subscribing. I have the same problem... I'm fairly certain mine isn't an exhaust leak, because it would do it all of the time if that were the case. It's almost like a light knocking noise rather than a tick. But I suppose you could call it a tick, I dunno.

I have a tick coming from my drivers side that didn't go away after re-tightening down the header bolts. I am almost 100% sure that's what it is, so I'm going to try backing them all out and bolting them down in sequence and to torque. I don't think I blew the gasket so we'll see.

Could also check the EGR tube. Mine would come loose sometimes.
Check the oil level. If you are a quart low that could cause valvetrain noise.
Maybe check the PVC valve is pushed down all the way.
