Any suggestions on what i should set my timming to? I have tried several differant settings and cant seem to get it right. Its at 18 right now. I heard the stock pointer isnt very accurate. At one point I had it all the was up to high 20s almost 30 and it seemed to run good but it just seemed to high so i set it back to 18 just to be on the safe side. My mods are on my Sig. Any feedback would be a great help. It wont run if i go much lower that 14 give or take. As it is right now it doesnt run very well for the first start of the day or if its been sitting for more than a couple hours. It starts fine but wont idle, I have to give it some gas for the first few minutes. Then I need to wait another 10min or so before i try and go. If I dont she hesitates, bogs then bucks. If I hold in the clutch and gas it(takes a couple secs. before it reaches 3000RPM) then take off its not too bad but it still bucks. Not to mention I dont like revving it that high before shes nice and warmed up.

Sounds like you timing pointer is out of place. Stock timing is set at 10 degrees BTDC. If you can't run any lower than 14 or so, your pointer must not be in the correct spot. You should probably bring cylinder #1 to top dead center and check to see where the timing pointer points to that way you can fix the timing pointer.

18 advanced is about as high as you would want to go with your setup. On my old stock motor, I used to run 14-15 advanced. From what I've read , 14-15 is the most you want to go on a stock motor. I'm sure you'll get different opinions.
I recently purchased a Ford Racing Crate Motor, the Gt-40 345hp set up, similiar to what you have basically. They told me to run 15 advanced. C&L told me 18 advanced when I ordered my calibration tube for my MAF meter.
You might want to make sure you pointer is reading correctly. That's what I'd do first.
Good Luck.
