My left front is wearing on the outer edge. The tread has worn nearly completly to the indicators. The right side is ok and there is no pull or drift, it rides as straight as an arrow. I checked the pressure and it is good. Anyone have an idea?

I agree strange wear on your tires mean you probaly
need a four wheel alignment.

It's just the one tire. The rest are all wearing evenly. Just wonering if anyone had this experience before. I'm going tomorrow to have the alignment checked.

When you do go to get your front end aligned (that's what you problem is most likely) ask around for shops that are reputable front end specialists. Ex: my mechanic loads 150 lbs in the drivers seat simulating normal driving stance in my car, then he aligns the front suspension. BTW, you only need a two wheel alignment (unless you have an independant rear suspension).

The camber is too positive on that side. Front camber spec is -.5 if you are wearing on the outside edge you "probably"(read guessing) have too much positive camber. Its all academic you need the alignment checked.

That's what I was looking for. I figured I was possibly out of alignment but in the past I've always felt the drift. I had it checked about 5 months ago and it was fine. This time there is no warning except a ruined tire. I drive 3000 miles a month so it doesn't take long for me to screw something up before I realize it. Basically I was hoping for an alignment problem and not suspension. Thanks for the advise.

usually the toe in/out is what you will fill as the car will pull or drift in one direction on the other. The car can track perfectly straight but still have the camber out of wack and the result is a ruined tire. Just like in your case.
