tjm73 u out there?? My rims are in..Now what tires should I get?

Finally my 17 X 8's (front) with 5 & 1/4 backspace and
my 17 X 9 1/2 (back) with 5 & 1/2 backspacing Torqe Thrust ll's (chrome CAME IN ...Now will a 235/45/17 tire fit the front and will a 275/40/17 tire fit the back???????and what brand tire do you suggest????

I have the 90GT Mustang .....in case you forgot.......and yes, I have the ford racing 5 lug conversion kit also ....the only thing left to buy are the tires.

i think u can go as wide a 245/45/17 on the front. if u run the 275/40/17 out back u will prolly have to either flip or remove the quads.

Now, on to your questions.......

235/45R17's will fit the wheels, but they will look too streched across the tread surface IMO. 245/45R17 would be better.

I think the 275/40R17 will look real good on the 9.5" wheel. If your car is lowered you may have rubbing issue with anytire you choose. I would not use spacers of any thickness. I think as it is the backspace you chose will have the wheels at a minimum flush with the outside edge of the fender.
