Took a ride in a ~500hp evo 9!!

DAMN!! Ive never rode in anything that was all wheel drive and spun through 1-2nd, 3rd gear pulled like a jet, absolutely awesome that a 4g motor can make that much power...

car has:
big tubular manifold
bigger fmic
e85 (1200cc injectors)
gt35
and other bolt ons

thats by far the fastest ive been to 120 ever on 4 wheels... my mustang needs to step it up a few notches lol

I actually met him once through some friends. He has been into imports and mustangs as well. I know he has had some fast cars.

When I saw him he was a big guy.The name kinda fit him.

friend of mine has a evo 8, 2.3 stroker, gt4088r, dual pump setup with e85, 1600cc injectors and some BC3 cams ( ill have to double check that ) pushing ~600 for now and that bish moves. and your right, nothing like all 4 wheels spinning through 1st, 2nd and 3rd lol.

They are a spendy car, but look pretty nice when they are all done, and can be pretty quick. But imo its just a different version of a WRX

Man I've drivin turboed 5.0 cobras, Supercharged built 5.0's Whippled CTSV's, ZO6's and Still the fastest car I've ever Drivin has to be a fully modded EVO. That was the only car I've really been intimidated by. No doubt they cost a ton to mod and I still wouldn't trade my car for a evo ever, but when built right they flat out rip.

They are a spendy car, but look pretty nice when they are all done, and can be pretty quick. But imo its just a different version of a WRX

Not true at all a evo is so far above a WRX it's stupid maybe you mean STI. It's like comparing a A 03 GT to a 03 cobra.

SOTP fast is one thing....but is it really making 500whp and running low-10's, or is that just what the owner is telling you? I hate to break it to ya, but import guys have been known to exagerate on occasion.

I would bet its closer to 300-350whp and rungs low-12's based on the mods you described above...but its all talk in either direction until you've got timeslips and dyno sheets to back it up!

...and I agree with the others EVO's are overrated.
