Took Off Center Cap And Heres What I Saw HELP

Ok, I walked outside and looked my car just before i got in it and I saw that my left Rim had like oil/grease on it, and i was like WTF no other rims have that and i didnt do it, so i popped off the centercaps and heres wat i saw

Does Anybody Know What This Is? And What Causes It? And If So How To Fix It?

Just clean it all off. Drive for a bit, and see if it reappears. If it does, repack bearings and put a new seal in.

its the spindle cap on the rotor its fine. if it bothers you put a new cap on and leave it alone the spindle bearings are in there. if your unexperienced with this dont jack with the nut inside this cap.

i dont see enough of a problem to mess with it. just keep your car clean and you will never notice it.

Well Thank You For Responding SOO fast, I just had no idea what was going on because ive never seen that before on any of the cars ive worked on, and my dad gave me this BIG GIANT DETAILED SPEECH on it and i had no idea what he was saying lol

its common on older cars but new cars have the rotor and spindle separate so the rotor can be turned easier.

It can also happen if you put too much grease in the cap and put the cap on. The cap gets air trapped under it and when you hit a bump, because the cap isnt sealed tight (because of trapped air), the cap can pop back off. Or it just lets hot, viscous grease seep out around the edges. Those caps get kinda beat up.

Yup, just clean it off, and use a screwdriver on the dust cap lip and lightly tap it back on. Not a big deal really.
