looking for some opinons. i saved up a bunch of money this summer and i can't stand my car being stock any more. i was wondering what should i do first. well of course i know the best bang for the buck would be just adding a super charger. but that is in the future.

what should i do first? i was thinking either top end, stage 2 heads, cam, p51 intake.

or bottom end 5.1 stroker short block.

i can't afford to do both and i would really like to do something now rather then waiting another year to do it all. however after it is all done it is getting a turbo. and i know there is alot more that needs to be done then just the motor. it is all planned to be done as needed in between engine mods.

but any thoughts on the matter would be very appreciated. also if i am going about this all wrong any suggestions would be great. thanks,

i miss my 67 mustang gt. i have to start all over with this one.

I would start on the top end first. Some nice heads and cams would be good. I'd say go with a full exhaust to compliment them (unless you are planning on a turbo, as the headers will be replaced).

u gotta go forged if yer gonna go with a turbo kit, i think the low end of hp's kits are supposed to give u 500 hp, stock crank wont last too long with that kinda power, in other words, bottom end

If your going power adder then get the bottom end taken care of. Of your looking to stay N/A then top half

Since you are planning on going FI next year just take care of the bottom end now.

Also, unless you are planning on getting a Darton Sleeve equipped Big Bore block Id strongly advise to just get a Forged 5.0L Stroker from VTengines.

well if you are planning on doing both, the upper & lower part of the engine, before you go to the turbo setup. Get the heads & cams for sure this time , you will get a bigger power difference, as opposed to doing the bottom end. you could at least play around with it for a little while with the new found power until you had enough cash to get the bottom end done. then it will be on to the wonderful world of forced induction that's my .02
