I got it and my dealer determined that my engine had suffered some heat related damage due to this and replaced my engine with a new long block, you should check into this.

Yeah the fans were burning up... I had one catch on fire... When I got my recall notice they changed me out for another new fan and put that breaker setup in line with the power.. The guy that was doing my recall work was a freind and told me that they had messed up on bearing tolerance on the fan or something like that and causes it to get hot... pull a lot of amps.. and burnup at the harness wich is what happen to me. Do the recall..

True, but I was able to fit my new cam in there with the money I saved.

I'm not bashing fluidyne! In fact, if I could do it over I would have gone with a fluidyne.

I also got the recall. Isnt it something like the "cooling fan circuit breaker switch"? I guess I'll go down to the old ford dealer today and see whats up. Maybe instead of leaving my car they will just give me the part and I can put it in myself.

Wasnt this recall first issued in 2001? Why would some people barely be getting notified?

Ford fixedmine for free.

I think, as long as you get the notice, or something, then they won't charge you.

Took my Mustang in two years ago to have this recall taken care of. I bought this car new in 1995. It is a Rio Red convertible GT with white leather interior and a five speed transmission. Anyway, the car was functioning perfectly until.............(by the way it only had 4000 miles on it) the dealer supposedly "fixed" it. Five minutes later I was back in the dealership due to the fact that the fan was no longer functioning at all due to a faulty replacement part!!!!! So proceed cautiously!!!!!!!!!!! Mark
