i have a 1996 mustang gt that has a complete pi conversion and 3.73 gears. a friend of mine has a 98 gt with u/d pullies, o/r h-pipe with flows, and a mac CAI, plus a fewm other little things. i dont know if it is right but his car will run side by side with mine all the way through the quarter and sometimes even pull my car a litle bit. is this right or is there something wrong with my car. i pull him top end but it seems like i should be beating him at least by about a half a car length???any suggestions..(also i have the stock h-pipe on my car..)

No, im with you. That doesn't sound right. I'd guess that you would win...get some exhaust i guess and let your car breathe easier. Maybe he is just a better driver

i consider my self a good driver as do many people around me. some people actually have me drive there cars for them if i am around(which i dont see the point in since it isnt my car), but his car is an auto so he really doesnt need any driving skills, or at least i wouldtn think anyway. but my car seemed to run better as a bolt on car until i had the headswap done. anyone think the shop could have messed something up??i dont knoww aht it couldbe since the compression test came out good.

i dont have a chip or tune..but am going to get one as soon as i get the cams and rest of the exhaust finished. the fact it is an aauto only saddens me about the whole ordeal..but it happend and i have to deal with it. my tractions isnt that great..but even from a roll i dont seem to pull him, and when rolling i have descent traction throught first and second..but when i hit third the car kinda wants to slide around. i dont get that either about my car?
