track times

went to the track yesturday and got a best of
60 1.9
1/8 8.9
is this good or average for my car oh yea it was 92 degrees here in chas.


My mods are: smog/powersteering delete, 4;10, rebuilt posi, 4cyl springs and lakewood 90/10s upfront black magic electrice fan. 16'cobra R rims with street rubber. Stock speed density motor.

those are good times. it puts you right about 13.9 or so.

those 60' times should be lower with the suspension mods that you have and the 4.10s though.

yea im on street tires but the car was hooking. I probably could have lauched a little harder. But I know 4:10s and a 5 speed can get out of hand quick.

not bad at all i have about the same mods and go 8.50s with slicks. my 60' is usually bout 1.74 with slicks but with street tread the times drop to 8.80s. i dont know about where you are but around here "mostly stock" stangs usually go 9.20s

I have 1.7 rockers, trickflow intake and a kirban fuel pressure reguator in garage. with those mods what do you think my times will be still on street rubber

i dont know about the times but they would definetly help. get some et drags,launch about 5500 and HOLD ON

i want to but I am afraid of breaking an axle. My buddy broke his on bfg drag radials with stock motor and 3:73

i understand that. i havent ever had an axle break but i am on my third rearend. that five speed seems to reak havic when it hooks good

just don't launch it so hard...stay around 3 grand on the launch and you'll hit 1.7's w/ those 4.10's

shouldn't break a thing only launching 3000-3500
