is it part of the rest of the computer in the kick panel, or is it somewhere else? tranny has been doing weird things, just want to make sure all the connections are good

it's a separate wiring harness... however the automatic functions are performed in the ECU

it could be your TQ convertor

its not shifting as hard as it should be...when i first got the gears put in the car would spin into second and third.. now it wont even chirp second... also the car kinda jerks about one in every 10 times when i am rolling to a stop... and every once in a while it will shift at like 5k on a full throttle upshift.. one in 50 maybe, but it still does it

not your computer... it's either your TQ converter or your transmission

could it be U-joints? My '91 firebird auto would do what you described but pretty much every time. Turned out to be worn out U-joints.

Definately doesn't look like your putting down enough power to hurt it. Since its a 96' maybe its just tired and ready for a rebuild. Mine is doing fine with just a shift kit with over 300 RWHP and 54,000 miles.
